B&R Beurs Eindhoven (Student Investment Society)
B&R Beurs Eindhoven is the student investment society of Eindhoven University of Technology. The association strives to facilitate knowledge development about finance and investing in a fun and responsible way, to students of the TU/e, and the region. In order to fulfill this mission, and to spread our excitement about investing as broadly as possible, B&R Beurs Eindhoven focuses on three core activities; the investment competition, educational lectures, and leisure activities.
Central to the associations’ activities is the investment competition, groups of members are challenged to put real money together and actually invest. It allows members to quickly gain practical experience, to teach them in a fun way, and to share knowledge more effectively.
Secondly, the association organizes educational events; a combination of lectures and company visits. Subjects range from classical topics like fundamental analysis, technical analysis, and macroeconomics to topics like cryptocurrencies, real estate, corporate finance, and entrepreneurship.
Finally, B&R Beurs Eindhoven is also a place to relax. During weekly drinks and fun activities, members get the chance to relax and build meaningful connections with their fellow members. Past activities include; carting, playing golf, poker tournaments, whiskey tasting, pub quiz, competitive game night, themed drinks and much more. Once a year a member’s trip is organized, in which a weekend is spend enjoying a cities hospitality and visiting companies.
